Picture

Picture windows create unobstructed views of the outdoors. They’re best in areas where ventilation isn’t a big concern. Think about installing them high on the walls of dark rooms and hallways for infinitely better lighting.

In combination with patio doors or open-and-close windows, picture windows bring the perfect balance of light and ventilation.

Awning

Awning windows are designed to provide light and breeze. They’re great for bedrooms and other areas that need to maintain privacy but still let some light in.

Awnings can be opened slightly to allow ventilation. They can be positioned in a variety of places: next to other windows, arranged in columns, or placed above large patio doors to create a wall of light and fresh air.

Bay

Bay windows create an open, peaceful feel indoors. Their multiple views allow light to stream in from different angles. Plus, the sides of the window can be opened for air circulation.

Bay windows dress up any home with uniqueness and style. Replacing a flat window with a bay can completely change the amount of light that room receives. They can add character to family rooms and master bedrooms.

With a wide variety of choices for window styles, colours, grills as well as insulated seat and headers with the options of white or oak veneer interiors your choices are endless.

Bow

Bow windows – not to be confused with bay windows – are an attractive addition to any room.

Where bay windows have one fixed pane window flanked by windows on either side, bow windows create a more unified round look by using a series of windows. They are a wonderful way to increase natural lighting in a dark room and maximize the view outside.

Their graceful curve, which projects away from the exterior wall, offers additional space which can be used as a nook for reading or breakfasting. With a wide variety of choices available from window styles to colours and grills as well as the option of multiple projections, bow windows compliment your home very nicely.

Casement

Casement windows open outward for light, fresh air and side breezes. They’re tightly sealed for energy efficiency and great for hard-to-reach places, such as over sinks and appliances in the kitchen.

Casements crank open, as opposed to sliding up and down, making them easier to maneuver. All our casement windows come standard with fold down handles allowing for ease of use and allowing your window coverings to function properly.

Hung

A single hung tilt window (vertical slider) consists of two window panes; the top sash is permanently fixed (meaning it doesn’t open or close) and the second one moves up/down to allow for ventilation.

Single hung windows are typically used on lower floors where you are able to clean the fixed upper sash from outside.

Double hung tilt windows (vertical sliders)are chosen for their unique style, ease of access and superior ventilation capabilities. The top of the window can be opened while the bottom remains closed – great for inclement weather allowing for ventilation and keeping the elements out at the same time.Double hung windows can go practically anywhere in your home.

Double hung windows are perfect for kitchens, offices and bedrooms, with the added benefit of being able to clean your windows from inside the home.

Slide

Sliding windows work well on walls where there isn’t a lot of vertical height, yet there is plenty of horizontal area. They offer a more contemporary look than the traditional colonial style single hung windows.

A  single sliding window is a horizontal window with one fixed sash and a sash that slide back and forth. It is very much like a single  hung window turned on its side. The window opens by moving the sash to one side.

A double sliding window is a horizontal window where both sashes slide allowing you to open one side or the other or both at the same time. You also have the option of a lift out slider or a tilt in slider making it easy for you to clean the windows from the inside of your home.
